Downtown Waukesha to the Rescue for Valentine's Day Weekend

The Waukesha Business Improvement District announces a Valentine’s Day collaboration by the many local restaurants and retail shops throughout Historic Downtown Waukesha. Items include free live music, specialty chocolates, dinner and drink specials as well as a special rate at the exclusive Clarke Hotel.

 

“It’s easy to celebrate Valentine’s Day weekend in style in downtown Waukesha,” said Karen Richards, executive director of the Waukesha Business Improvement District. “Our shops offer an amazing array of gifts from classic to trendy and there’s something to fit every budget.”

 

Participating businesses offering specials and discounts include:

 

Allo! Chocolat, 234 W. Main St., offers a dizzying variety of chocolate gifts including chocolates in heart shaped boxes, specialty truffles, artisan chocolates, and hand dipped strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries.

 

Beading Hearts Studio, 316 South St. is offering a class for Dad’s and kids to make a special sterling silver and Swarovski crystal bracelet for mom.

 

Clarke Hotel, 314 W. Main St., enjoy an amazing Steak & Lobster dinner for two at the Black trumpet Pasta & Chop house for $99. Enjoy a weekend package which includes a one night’s stay, Steak and Lobster dinner for two, and a bottle of champagne for only $199.

 

Clinton Street Gallery, 801 Clinton St., Try your hand at the “Couples at the Wheel Special,” Feb.12-14, $50 per couple for a 90 minute session and complimentary wine and chocolates. Reservations are required. Contact the Gallery at 262-408-7550 to set up a session or for more details.

 

Coffee N’ Beans, 234 W. Main, is offering two specialty drinks at discounted prices throughout the month of February, Be My Valentine Latte and Chocolate Covered Cherry Mocha.

Divino Gelato Cafe, 227 W. Main St., is offering Chocolate Covered Strawberry Gelato along with other special chocolate flavors throughout the month of February.

 

Fox Riverwalk Antique Mall, 250 W. Main St., will be hosting their annual Valentines Day Sale from Feb.5th-14th. Many items 20-40% off.

 

Katydids at Maple & Main, 401 W. Main St., Katydids would LOVE to be your Valentine. Stop in to taste some sinful chocolate recipes and sip champagne. There will be many in store specials that will make your heart flutter. Cupid will even have a treat for you to take home.

RedStone Pub & Grill, 225 South St., has created a special Valentines Day Menu. Of the first 24 couples to come in for dinner, ladies will receive an Attache Rose.

 

Rivers End Gallery, 380 W. Main St., check out the huge supply of jewelry including: silver, gold, bronze, semi-precious stones, art glass, and amber. Free gift wrapping is provided.

 

Serendipity Scrapbooks, 259 W. Main St., enter to win a scrapbooking tote filled with Valentines Day goodies, valued at more than $200.

 

Sprizzo Gallery Caffe, 363 W. Main St., will be hosting the Don Weast Jazz Group from 1-4pm on Feb. 14th.

 

Steaming Cup, 340 W. Main St., will stay open until 4 pm on Sunday, Feb. 14, and offer a beautiful scone plate with sweet cream, lavender and cherry scones served with sweet cranberry butter; a dessert plate for two; and an amazing array of teas.

 

Three Sisters Spirit, 308 W. Broadway, come visit the Fairy Godmothers, Deosil & Widdershins on Sat., Feb. 13 from noon to 4 p.m. Grownups can pick out a love potion, children can choose from fairy dust necklaces and wish bracelets. Balloon animals and face painting will also be available.

 

Rich in history and packed with contemporary flavor, Historic Downtown Waukesha & Riverwalk is easy to find with two way streets and ample parking that make it a friendly option. From I-94 exit at Hwy F south to Barstow, turn left to enter the Downtown Business District. From I-43, exit at Hwy 164 north; continue north to Wisconsin Avenue, turn left and the Downtown Business District is on the left. A variety of parking options are available including on-street parking, a variety of public parking lots and two parking structures.
