Another Successful Used Book Sale

Aug. 30, 2010 | 0 comments

The Friends of the Brookfield Public Library held the 5th Annual Used Book Sale in the Senior Center adjacent to the Farmer's Market in August. The Used Book Sale was visited by the Brookfield Community and people from many surrouniding cities. The total amount collected in the 4 Saturdays of the Sale came out to be $15,017. The donatons of print and nonprint materials were plentiful, the volunteers were in abundance and the library staff at the Brookfield Library helped the volunteers in sorting, packing, and moving boxes of books. The money from the sale will go back into the Library for programming activities in the children's and adult departments of the Library. Let the Friendsof the Library know if you would like to help in the 2011 Used Book Sale and watch how a bit of time goes a long way. The sale dates for the 2011 will be August 6, 13, 20, 27.
