Posting Your Stories is easy. Use the form below to submit a story - and remember to give it a title. The byline will automatically appear as your name. And while we ask for your e-mail address, it will not appear when your story does. It's just for us to use in case we have a question about your story.

Your story will appear pretty much the way you wrote it. All we ask that you follow our guidelines for writing stories and remember that we can refuse to post offensive or libelous stories.

We allow stories to be posted on up to five NOW sites. You can select five communities by holding down the control key (PC) or apple key (Mac) while selecting the names of those communities. There's no need to post the same story on multiple sites. We'll delete it if you do.

Stories will appear on the front page of the site where an event is happening and on the archive pages of other sites.

Have a picture you want to include with your story? You may attach a photo to your story after clicking the Submit button. The photo must be in .jpg or .gif form. Horizontal-shaped images will look better online than vertical images.  Please do not include any spaces or punctuation in the name of your photo and please do not send .bmp files.

It will take at least one working day for your story to appear online.

There is a strict 1,000-word maximum length on all stories.

Finally, we sometimes pick the best of Your Stories to publish in our NOW newspaper on Thursdays. Stories that appear in the newspaper will be edited for spelling, grammar and length, and they may be rewritten to comply with our newspaper's style guidelines.

SOME POSTING SUGGESTIONS
Here's some general guidelines for posting your stories that will make your submission more readable:

  • Don't type in all caps.
  • Don't write one big block of text. It'll be easier to read if you break the text into paragraphs. To do that, just insert a line of space between paragraphs.
  • At the end of your text, make sure there's not extra lines of space or it will show up as blank space when published.
