Are you a bird enthusiast? If you are, this volunteer position may be right up your alley. Harwood Place Retirement Community in Wauwatosa is looking for one to two volunteers who would be responsible for the upkeep of our beautiful bird aviary.
Responsibilities include refilling birds’ drinking water bottles, replenishing bird feed, scooping out the top layer of bedding to remove fecal matter, and occasional cleaning of the Plexiglas windows if needed.
This volunteer would be on a rotation schedule with three other volunteers. Each volunteer would be responsible for one week per month, where volunteer would come twice during their assigned week. Training will be provided for new volunteer to learn about aviary responsibilities upon placement.
