WAUKESHA – The University of Wisconsin-Waukesha campus will be closed Monday, March 22, for a state-mandated employee furlough day. All campus buildings and offices will be closed, and no functions will be scheduled.
Spring break week begins March 22, so no classes will be interrupted that day.
The state-mandated furlough day is one of 16 unpaid furlough days required of all state employees in the 2009-2011 state budget biennium. The mandatory furlough days were chosen to have minimal impact on students, staff, and community. Monday, May 24, also is a mandated furlough day.
Regular campus hours are 7 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Friday; 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, and noon-9 p.m. Sunday.
UW-Waukesha has the largest enrollment among the 13 freshman-sophomore University of Wisconsin Colleges campuses. For information about programs, admission or financial aid, contact the Student Services office at (888) 2UW-WAUK (888-289-9285) or visit the Web at www.waukesha.uwc.edu.
