Have you always wanted to go on safari to Africa? Get a sneak peek at the Zoological Society’s three August 2010 safaris to Kenya at a free preview evening on Feb. 25, 7 to 8:30 p.m. See photos of Kenya’s magnificent wildlife and nature. Chat with Zoological Society president Dr. Robert Davis and Milwaukee County Zoo Director Chuck Wikenhauser, who will lead two of the trips. A representative from Adventure Seekers travel agency, the trip organizer, will also be on hand to answer questions. All trips are open to the public.

Travelers can choose from three adventure-filled itineraries at different price levels (see below). The trips, offered as part of the Zoological Society’s centennial celebration in 2010, start on different dates but conclude on the same evening for a gala party in Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Reserve.
The three safaris are:
• The Adventure of Kenya Safari
Led by one of the Zoo’s curatorial staff. Aug. 6 to Aug. 14, 2010; $4,800 per person, based on double- occupancy *
• The Magnificence of Kenya Safari
Led by Chuck Wikenhauser, Zoo Director. Aug. 5 to Aug. 14, 2010; $6,600 per person, based on double- occupancy *
• The Luxury of Kenya Safari
Led by Dr. Robert Davis, president and CEO of the Zoological Society. Aug. 4 to Aug. 14, 2010; $9,000 per person, based on double-occupancy *
* Airfare is not included. Price is based on 15 travelers per group, and prices may vary if fewer travelers register.
The mission of the non-profit Zoological Society of Milwaukee is to conserve wildlife, to educate people about animals and to support the Milwaukee County Zoo. Please note: the Zoo celebrated its centennial in 1992.
