Celebrate the Holidays with Pius XI High School

Performing Arts students featured in “Christmas Canticles” Concert and Madrigal Dinner

 

MILWAUKEE, November 24, 2009 – Pius XI High School invites Greater Milwaukee residents to celebrate the holidays at upcoming Performing Arts showcase events.

 

On Dec. 4, Pius XI students will perform “Christmas Canticles,” an exciting new work that presents favorite Christmas carols woven together in four beautiful sections complete with narration by Pius XI graduate Fr. Brian Mason ’78 and with full orchestral accompaniment. This concert is a seasonal favorite and has been listed in Milwaukee Magazine as one of the city’s best holiday events. Concert begins at 7 p.m. and tickets are $8 each. Advanced ticket purchase is strongly recommended. To purchase tickets or for more information, contact the Pius XI Bookstore at 414-290-8151.

 

On Dec. 11 and 12, Pius XI Performing Arts students will host a long-time tradition, the Madrigal Dinner at the Tripoli Shrine Temple. The evening will feature a five-course meal, pageantry, heraldry and song in celebration of the Yuletide Season. The event begins at

6:30 p.m. both nights. Tickets for adults are $50 each and for children $35 each. To purchase tickets or for more information, contact the Pius XI Bookstore at 414-290-8151.

 

Pius XI Performing Arts students will be spreading holiday cheer on Dec. 5 at the Mayfair Mall Barnes & Noble. Performances will take place from noon until 5 p.m. Free gift wrapping with a purchase will be offered from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and a percentage of the day’s net sale will benefit Pius XI High School.
