Spring Bank Expands Staff and Office Space; First Year Exceeds Expectations

Brookfield, WI -- Spring Bank announced today that Ken J. Madison, has joined the bank as Senior Commercial Credit Analyst and that the bank has it moved into new office space at its current location 16655 West Wisconsin Avenue. Spring Bank’s new office doubles the bank’s previous amount of space.

“We’re growing faster than anticipated,” says Spring Bank President and CEO David Schuelke. “We are planning for the future and our new space provides room to grow. We will remain a Brookfield-based bank. That’s not going to change.”

Madison, the bank’s newest employee, comes from First Wisconsin Bank & Trust. His banking experience also includes positions at Citizens Bank of Mukwonago, and Wauwatosa Savings Bank. He began his career at the Wisconsin Business Development Corporation. Spring Bank currently has 11 employees and Schuelke expects the bank to add another 2 or 3 positions within the next six months.

Spring Bank, which opened in August 2008, reports loan, deposits and other key metrics are all ahead of projections. In September, the bank reported its first monthly profit, nearly a year ahead of schedule. The bank has been actively making loans, helping local businesses manage through the recession and prepare for the pending recovery.
