Communication and Leadership Award to Local Woman Leader

MARY MAIER RECEIVES COMMUNICATION AND LEADERSHIP AWARD

 

Mary Maier, Past Associate Director of WRLP, a Wisconsin - based organization whose primary goal is to develop leaders to strengthen communities in Wisconsin, was honored with a special Communication and Leadership award by Toastmasters at the Toastmasters International state-wide Fall Conference held in Baraboo on Saturday, November 7.

 

Mrs. Maier, of Brookfield, Wisconsin, was recognized for her continued support of Toastmasters’ communication and Leadership programs, including her important liaison role between Toastmasters and the Office of the Governor resulting in Governor Jim Doyle’s official proclamation of October as Toastmaster Month in Wisconsin.

 

Mary Maier continues to be active in WRLP ( Wisconsin Rural Leadership Program Alumni Association ) as Treasurer. She also serves as a voluntary associate at the Ronald McDonald house in Wauwatosa, Wis. and is also very active in other community / church organizations.

 

Toastmasters International is a worldwide voluntary organization for men and women which has helped millions of men and women over the years to improve their ability to listen, think objectively, speak, and lead others. There are ninety Toastmaster clubs in Wisconsin who meet regularly to hone these skills. Meetings are open to the public and interested parties are welcome to attend at no charge.
