Shakespeare Wealth Joins Launch of Physician Travel Service to Benefit Doctors Without Borders

Nov. 11, 2009 | 0 comments

Since July 10, 2009 Shakespeare Wealth Management, Inc. of Brookfield has been a proud affiliate of MD Preferred Financial Advisor, an independent, web-based resource for more than 830,000 medical professionals that provides access to top-rated financial advisors who specialize in assisting physicians with their unique financial challenges. Now, with the announcement of a new service, Shakespeare Wealth Management is even prouder of that affiliation.

MD Preferred Financial Advisor is part of MD Preferred Service Network, which has just launched MD Preferred Travel, a program that will provide discounted travel services to physicians while also benefiting one of the most recognizable international humanitarian organizations in the world – Doctors Without Borders.

The Network provides access to professionals in financial planning, law, real estate, relocation, and insurance who have been identified by MD Preferred Services and who maintain high professional service standards.

MD Preferred Travel, www.MDPreferredTravel.com, is a virtual travel assistant open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The network is built on quality and reliability. “Besides having incredibly busy schedules, physicians can spend thousands of dollars each year on travel to medical conferences and training,” said Michael O’Malley, CEO of MD Preferred Services. “With the launch of MD Preferred Travel we hope to make traveling a little less burdensome and much more affordable for physicians. Our relationship with Orbitz gives the entire program stability, reliability and a doctor friendly interface.”

MD Preferred Travel has chosen as its exclusive charity Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières, an international medical humanitarian organization that provides aid in more than 60 countries to people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe, primarily due to armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, exclusion from health care, or natural disasters. Each time MD Preferred Travel is used, a donation is made directly to the organization’s life-saving emergency medical work throughout the world.

“We are pleased with the selection of Doctors Without Borders as the recipient charity for MD Preferred Service Network and the doctors we serve,” said Kevin Reardon, CFP®, President of Shakespeare Wealth Management, Inc. “The work that the dedicated staff and volunteers of Doctors Without Borders do every day in serving humanity is certainly worthy of our support.”
