New Balance of Greenfield and Brookfield to Support Komen for the Cure during October

Oct. 2, 2012

GREENFIELD and BROOKFIELD, Wis. -- The New Balance stores in Greenfield and Brookfield will be supporting local residents fighting breast cancer throughout the month of October with a breast cancer awareness in-store program benefiting the local division of the Susan G. Komen for a Cure foundation. Both stores will be offering customers the opportunity to purchase a pink shoe pin-up for a $5 donation. Then with each donation, customers will receive a $10 coupon valid toward a future purchase.

“Our Greenfield and Brookfield New Balance stores, along with New Balance Corporate, are committed to supporting the promise of Komen for the Cure, both locally and nationally by raising funds through corporate and consumer donations, including those made through the purchase of our Lace Up for the Cure Collection” says Megan Sajdak, marketing and special events director for New Balance of Greenfield and Brookfield. “We believe together can make a significant contribution to breast cancer education and research by promoting physical fitness and healthy lifestyles as a way to reduce the risk of breast cancer.”

New Balance offers a Lace Up for the Cure Collection that is comprised of footwear apparel and accessories all adorned with the Komen Running Ribbon. The Fall 2012 collection features the New Balance 860v2 running shoe and the New Balance 847 walking shoe, a supportive cardio walking shoe and the Official Walking Shoe of the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure. For more information about New Balance’s partnership with Komen, please visit www.newbalance.com/komen.
