VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES IN WAUKESHA COUNTY:
Share your talent with Adult Day Services, Catholic Charities
Singing. Dancing. Ring toss. Sheepshead or poker. Reading the rosary. Name game. Painting. These are simple and rewarding activities our participants thoroughly enjoy. Minimum visit of once per month, anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours per visit, depending on the activity. Volunteers must be 8 years of age or older to volunteer with a parent or guardian, and 17 to volunteer alone. Programs are located in New Berlin, Brookfield, and Milwaukee.
Mobile Meal Drivers Needed, ADRC
Home delivered meal drivers are needed to deliver meals once a week or twice a month to seniors living in Waukesha County. Help is needed from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm weekdays. Individuals, couples, friends, neighbors, etc. can do this together. Training and mileage reimbursement is provided. Volunteers must be over 18, have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license and provide proof of insurance. There will be a background check. Drivers needed in: Brookfield, Butler, Hartland, Menomonee Falls, Mukwonago, Muskego, New Berlin, Oconomowoc, Sussex and Waukesha.
Volunteering at Wings Over Waukesha, Wings Over Waukesha
Are you interested in airshows, and having a great time in the sun? Please come volunteer at Wings Over Waukesha on August 25 (8:30am-9:30pm) and August 26 (8:30am-6:30pm). We have many different roles to volunteer in: volunteer help desk, parking, admissions, tram driver, ramp operations, airshow guide, kid zone, grounds assistance, and hospitality. Must be a minimum of 12 years of age. Waukesha.
Lead beginner Spanish Classes - Eagleville Elem. School, Retired And Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)
Following Eagleville Elementary Charter School's curriculum, volunteer will lead basic Spanish lesson instruction, using language CD's. There are four classes consisting of 1st-6th graders. Time would be spent with each class once per week/every other week. You can choose a consistent time that fits your schedule. Volunteer should speak some Spanish - need not be fluent. Training will be arranged to fit your schedule. Classes start in mid-late September. School is located between Mukwonago and Eagle and is part of the Mukwonago School District.
