Christ the King Lutheran Church, 1600 S. Genesee St., Delafield, will host a concert by the Dave Anderson and Kelly Patten on Friday, April 20, at 7:00 p.m. The event is part of Christ the King’s Festive Music Series. A freewill offering will be taken and a reception will follow in the congregation’s Great Hall.
Anderson and Patten will perform music from several styles, including gospel, contemporary, and traditional Sunday school hymns, and present survival stories and testimonials. The duo is representative of Fellowship Ministries, a nonprofit ministry whose mission is "to provide relevant worship resources, encouragement and training for advancing the Gospel of Jesus Christ."
Since 1975 Fellowship Ministries founders, Dave and Barb Anderson, have presented over 5,000 worship concerts/worship services throughout America and around the world. Recently, Barb Anderson passed the "concert baton" to Kelly Patten. Dave and Kelly are now presenting concerts in about 11 churches each month.
An ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church of America) church, Christ the King has nearly 1,000 parishioners and welcomes new members. Weekly worship is held on Saturdays at 5 p.m. and Sundays at 8:15 and 10 a.m.
