NEWS AND NOTES

Meeting notes: Once again, Dave Eppelsheimer started happy bucks with a dollar for the Brewers. Rob Ritter was happy about his trip to San Diego with his father to attend a reunion of his father's WW II bomber group. John Foley paid be he just came from a family reunion in southern Indiana.

Our program was presented by Bill Anderson, of the Wauwatosa School District, and Jerry Merz, who has volunteered and taught in the District's Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics program. Bill is now principal of the Wauwatosa School of the Trades, in addition to his other titles. Bill and Jerry told us about the STEM program's emphasis on partnerships in the community, personalized learning, and data-driven program expectations. They also told us that the Wilson science charter school is now part of the STEM program.

Interclub: Noon, September 27, with the Parkland Club at Harmony in the Village, 5106 Broad Street, Greendale, at noon.

Annual dinner: Sign up now for the evening of September 27. The cocktail hour starts at 5:30, dinner at 6:30.

Memory Walk: This is the annual Alzheimer's Association event. The cooking crew should meet at 7 AM on October 1 at Mt. Mary College. See Chuck Sturm for details.

Beer & Wine tasting: The event is scheduled for Friday, October 28, at the Lutheran Home. We hope to have a cheese tasting this year. Plan on selling lots of tickets. Larry Schneider is already collecting auction items.
