Brookfield East senior Taylor Swittel signed her national letter of intent on Jan. 25 to play soccer at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Swittel, a sectional finalist on the 2009 squad that went 7-0 in conference, is a three-year letter winner for the Spartans. She was a Greater Metro Conference second-team all-conference selection in 2010 as a forward, helping the Spartans to a 5-0-2 conference record.
Swittel becomes the seventh Spartans girls soccer player since 2005 to go on to play at the NCAA Division I level.
In addition to playing soccer for Brookfield East, she has also been a four-year runner on the cross country team.
"Taylor's ability to consistently strike the ball with both feet, as well as her tremendous speed, make her an excellent recruit," says East coach Matt Schroeder.
