BA runner 45that state cross country meet

Brookfield Academy junior Elias Volk was the only member of the cross country team to qualify for D3state at Ridges Golf Course at Wisconsin on Saturday.

Volk finished 45th with a time of 17 minutes, 52.17 seconds.

Whitewater's Klotz earnsgrid honor from Walmart

University of Wisconsin-Whitewater's Cole Klotz (Elm Grove/New Berlin Eisenhower) was Walmart Defensive Football Player of the Week for his perfomances in the Warhawks' 20-17 win over UW-Oshkosh on Oct. 22 in Oshkosh.

Klotz helped lead the defense with six solo tackles and two assisted tackles for the Warhawks. Three of those tackles added up to a loss of six yards for the defense, which held the Titans scoreless in the second half.

SABC Turkey Trot setfor Nov. 19 at Wirth Park

Runners and walkers will enjoy participating in the 8th Annual Spartans Athletic Booster Club Turkey Trot Fun Run/Walk on Nov. 19 at Wirth Park in Brookfield.

All proceeds for the 5K run/2-mile walk will benefit athletics at Brookfield East High School. Runners/walkers must register by Nov. 10 to ensure themselves of receiving a technical running T-shirt, goody bag and a chance at great door prizes.

Wisconsin RAP AAU Clubsets Suday tryout

Wisconsin RAP is changing AAU basketball by creating a club that incorporates weight training, nutritional consultations, individual skill sessions and lots of game play.

Seventh- to 10th-grade girls can try out from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday and the boys from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tryouts will be held at St. Paul's on Janesville Road in Muskego.

The cost is $5 per player to cover the cost of the gym. Questions can be directed to wisrap@gmail.com.
