Woodring Baseball Camp set for weekend at East

The Woodring Baseball Camp is set for Saturday and Sunday at the Brookfield East High School Fieldhouse.

The camp is set to run from 2-4 p.m. each day and it is for kids ages 7-14. It will be segmented into age-appropriate instructional groups.

The cost is $79 and players can register online at www.woodringbaseball.eventbrite.com. Corey Golla at (262) 781-1045 is the contact.

The camp will be run by East baseball coach Bill Woodring and his assistant JJ Boyke.

Each participant will receive a T-shirt and there will be recognition awards for standout performances in each age group.

Players should bring, bats, batting gloves, helmets and tennis shoes for the gym.

Brookfield Lacrosse Association Registration is now open

The Brookfield Lacrosse Association is now holding registration for it's spring season.

There are youth teams for boys grades 3-8 and high school teams for boys and girls grades 9-12. The season runs March through mid-June. To register and for more information visit our website at www.brookfieldlacrosse.org or call Laurie Czechowski at (262) 938-6742.

Women's golf league looking for members

The Tuesday women's 18-hole golf league at Naga-Waukee Golf Course is accepting new members for the 2012 season. All interested players must have a handicap of 36 or less.

Play begins in May and continues throughout the summer. Golf begins about 6:45 a.m. and continues until about 8:30 a.m.

UW-Oshkosh offers four softball clinics

The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh softball program is offering four clinics in the next three months.

For grades nine to 12, a pitching and catching clinic will be held Feb. 11; the fee is $70. A hitting, infield and outfield clinic will be held March 10. The fee is $75.

Free youth basketball workouts offered

WI Gators Elite is sponsoring free workouts for boys in grades five through seven on Thursday nights from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church and School, 2229 W. Greenfield Ave., Milwaukee.

Workouts will consist of basketball fundamentals, shooting, footwork and defense.
