POLL, HONORS CHATTER

The Greater Metro Conference girls soccer race should be one to behold this season. Six of the eight teams could knock off anyone on any given night. Brookfield Central and Wauwatosa East are unbeaten and DSHA (which lost 1-0 to Central Tuesday) is 2-1. Menomonee Falls, Sussex Hamilton and Brookfield East are the other contenders.

100 Career goals for Brookfield Academy senior Eimile Pesch. Pesch scored goal No. 100 on Saturday in a 2-0 win over Winnebago in the BA Bash Soccer Tournament.

OF THE WEEK

I have to go with the Brookfield Central girls soccer team, which won a huge Greater Metro Conference game against Menomonee Falls on April 17 and another big non-conference game over Homestead on Friday. Both were 1-0 wins, so a tip of the cap goes to the defense and goalkeeper Rachel Oleson.
