The Greater Metro Conference boys and girls basketball seasons begin this weekend, with the Brookfield Central boys (road) and girls (home) playing Menomonee Falls on Friday and the Brookfield East boys (road) and girls (home) battling Wauwatosa East. Don't know which game I am covering yet, but I will be on Twitter at @ skyskibosh.

The Brookfield Glacier girls hockey team beat two teams from south of the border last weekend, defeating the Lake Forest Scouts, 12-1, Friday and then nipping an excellent Team Illinois U19 AAA Club team from West Dundee, Ill., Saturday, 2-1, in overtime on a goal by Brookfield Central's Trinity Robinson.
