YOU GOTTA BE PROUD
Everytime I turned around last week Brookfield preps teams were excelling: in soccer (two regional titles), tennis (two second-place state finishes), a golf team (Central) and individual (Bryan Kendall of East) at state, a softball team (Central) winning the regional, two boys track teams (East winning a second-straight state title and Central finishing third) along with several outstanding individual performances. These student-athletes have a lot to be proud of.

Brookfield East's boys track & field team and Brookfield Central runner Carl Hirsch share the honors this week. The Spartans won their second-straight state championship Saturday and Hirsch won the 1,600- and 3,200-meter and anchored the record-setting 3,200 relay.
