EAST SPIKERS SET WIN MARK

Brookfield East's girls volleyball team, having been in the Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association poll honorable mention ratings for a school record five straight weeks, improved to 29-9 overall and set a school record for wins, surpassing the previous mark of 25.

28 years since the Brookfield East football team won its only football title (1984). The Spartans clinched a share of the Greater Metro Conference title on Friday with a 31-7 win over Marquette.

Brookfield Central junior running back DeMario Harris ran 16 times for 146 yards, a 9.1 average, and he scored on runs of 10, 3 and 20 yards as the Lancers beat Wauwatosa East, 54-12, on Friday and earned a playoff spot.
