SKY'S TAKE

Oct. 31, 2012

FIRST TIME

When Brookfield East's football team beat Greendale, 28-21, in Friday's Level 2 WIAA playoff game, it was the first time in school history the Spartans won a Level 2 game. East is now 10-0 and faces a Whitefish Bay team on Friday at home. The Blue Dukes won, 40-21, at East in last year's first-round meeting. The winner of this game plays the winner of the No. 1 Waunakee/No. 3 Watertown game.

5th Place by Brookfield East freshman Rachel Werking was the top finish for any Brookfield runner, boys or girls, at Saturday's WIAA State Cross Country Meet at Ridges Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids.
