PICKING UP WHERE THEY

LEFT OFF

Brookfield Central's Carl Hirsch and Brookfield East's Brad Johnson picked up where they left off last year. Hirsch won the Menomonee Falls Grade Level Invitational (15:22.84) and Johnson (16:08) won the Arrowhead Invitational. Without a doubt, the Spartans and the Lancers cross country teams - boys and girls - should have another good season.

14 seconds were left in the Brookfield Central- Mukwonago football game when junior quarterback Riley Richarz tossed the winning touchdown pass to wide receiver Vantwon Melton to win a thrilling comeback, 19-18.
