Erica Engstrand and Michael Amato each won their respective races as Brookfield East raced a slalom course Feb. 1 at Sunburst against Brookfield Central, Marquette, Divine Savior Holy Angels and Homestead.
The girls placed second overall and the boys finished fourth overall. Engstrand placed first with a time of 44.53 seconds and Amato won the boys race with a time of 40.97 seconds.
Other skiers placing in the top 10 were Hailey McKenna, who finished fourth, Andi Moyer (ninth) and Shelby Jacobs (10th). The boys had Michael Wolf placing eighth.
