Brookfield Central capped a busy week by winning its own Lancer Invitational on Saturday, going 5-0 to score 30 points and beat Kettle Moraine (4-1, 28).
Franklin finished third (3-2, 14), followed by Kettle Moraine II (2-3, 14), Fond du Lac (1-4, 13) and New Berlin Eisenhower (0-5, 6).
The Lancers beat Fond du Lac (6-1), Kenosha Tremper (6-1) and Franklin (7-0) on Saturday after beating New Berlin Eisenhower, 7-0, and Kettle Moraine, 4-3, on Friday.
Against Franklin, winners were Caroline Treis (6-2, 6-1), Nikita Sood (6-3, 6-0), Molly Protz (6-4, 7-5) and Kim Smith (3-6, 6-1, 6-1) at singles. Ali Bublitz/Annie Porritt (6-2, 6-1), Tori Rieves/Katie Schleicher (6-1, 6-2) and Saloni Rao/Meg Stein (7-6 (7), 6-3) won doubles matches.
Against Kenosha Tremper, singles winners were Sood (6-1, 6-0), Protz (6-1, 6-4) and Smith (7-6 (2), 6-0), while Treis/Brooke Skemp (6-1, 6-0), Bublitz/Porritt (6-3, 6-1) and Rieves/Schleicher (6-0, 6-1) won at doubles.
In the win over Fond du Lac, Sood (6-1, 6-0), Protz (6-1, 6-0) and Smith (6-2, 6-2) won singles, Treis/Skemp (6-1, 6-0), Bublitz/Porritt (6-1, 6-1) and Rieves/Schleicher (6-0, 6-1) earned doubles wins.
Central swept Eisenhower to start the tournament on Friday.
Singles winners were Hannah Sekaran (2-6, 6-3, 6-0), Sood (6-2, 6-3), Protz (6-2, 6-2) and Smith (6-2, 6-0) while on the doubles side Treis/Skemp (6-1, 6-0), Bublitz/Porritt (6-0, 6-0) and Rieves/Schleicher (6-2, 6-0) were winners.
The closest match in the tournament was the 4-3 win over Kettle Moraine in Friday's second match. Sekaran (6-4, 6-3), Smith (6-4, 7-5), Treis/Skemp (6-4, 6-3) and Bublitz/Porritt (2-6, 7-5 6-2) earned Central's win.
Coach Dave Steinbach adjusted his lineup against West Allis on Sept. 11, winning 7-0.
Sood (6-4, 6-0), Rao (6-4, 6-1), Stein (6-3, 6-1) and Alana Michaels (6-0, 6-0) won singles matches and doubles winners were Rieves/Schleicher (6-2, 6-0), Annie Malone/Deborah Liu (6-2, 6-0) and Eileen Peterson/Alexis Aghjian (6-0, 6-1).
Steinbach pointed out that Malone, Liu, Smith and Treis were 5-0 for the week.
"Everybody moved up in the lineup and I feel that will strengthen us when we get everyone back," Steinbach said. "When we play in regular positions we will be stronger for it.
"They say that for every bad thing, something good happens. You either rollover and quit or get down and get better. We've been getting down and getting better."
