Brookfield Central's boys volleyball team defeated Waukesha South (3-0) and Whitefish Bay (3-2) Aug. 29 and 30 and made it to the semi-finals of the Kettle Moraine Invitational on Saturday.
Andrew Dusing had 16 and 37 assists in the first two wins, and Luke Sommerfeld had 15 kills against Bay.
Central was 4-2 in Saturday's pool play, advanced and beat Catholic Memorial(3-0) but lost to Kettle Moraine (2-1). Dusing had 85 assists, Sommerfeld 29 kills, Tanner Swan 23 kills and Jeff Thurston 38 digs for the day.
