Brookfield East finished fourth in the 16-team South Milwaukee Rockets Invitational on Saturday at Grant Park.
Fellow Greater Metro Conference team Wauwatosa East won the event with 83 points, followed by Oshkosh West (110), West Allis Hale (121) and the Spartans (132).
The Spartans had two runners finish in the top seven, led by Brad Johnson's fifth-place finish in 16 minutes, 13.8 seconds and Stephen Browne in seventh (16:29.6).
Alex McTaggert was 36th (17:38.4), Andrew Pelto finished 38th (17:42.3) and Kyriel Hansen took 46th (17:48.1).
Other Spartans and their finishes were Nathan Dillon (69th, 18:27.4), Peter Kuenzle (86th, 18:52.9) and Ling Shi (98th, 19:01.1).
