Brookfield East tied Whitefish Bay, 2-2, and then won a 4-2 shootout Saturday night at the WIAA Brookfield Central Sectional.
As a result, the Spartans (15-7-2) moved on to the WIAA State Boys Soccer Tournament at Uihlein Soccer Park from Thursday through Saturday.
It will be East's third straight trip to state. The Spartans will face Kimberly in a 5 p.m. quarterfinal game.
