SKY'S TAKE

Sept. 21, 2011

THURSDAY THUNDER

Don't get lulled into the usual schedule this week - the battle of Brookfield will take place on Thursday this week, when first-place East challenges Central in a Greater Metro Conference game with serious implications for the title chase. The game will be televised locally as part of Channel 24's Thursday night series, and they picked a good one. East is the lone 3-0 team in league play, and Central is coming off a double-overtime loss to Marquette.

5 tenths of a second Brookfield Central cross-country runner Kevin Rindfleisch finished ahead of the next man at the Angel Invite at UW-Parkside. Had the team's fifth runner finished one place lower than 55th, Central would not have tied Wauwatosa East for the top spot or taken first place on tiebreaker.
