FOOD TASTING
As you read this, I am in Los Angeles with my wife, Kathy, and future in-laws ( Cheryl, John) visiting my son, Marty, and future daughter-in-law, Ann, who is participating in a triathlon to fight cancer Sunday. We also are food-tasting for their wedding next Memorial Day. I will be back in action for the Sept. 29 issue.

The Brookfield Central girls volleyballers win this week's award after winning the 16-team Lancers Invitational on Saturday. The Lancers not only knocked off Burlington (No. 1 in the Journal Sentinel area rankings), Menomonee Falls (No. 2) and Pius XI (No. 5), but they did it all in three sets.
