FUN WEEKEND
AT MCCOY FIELD
I really enjoyed my weekend - despite the fact I worked Saturday and Sunday, as usual. The weather was beautiful, and I had a chance to spend three hours each day sitting in my lawn chair watching the Brookfield Bulldogs win two games in their run at the grand championship in Land O' Lakes play. Watching preps baseball is great, but to see the speed, mental approach and defense of these players - well, there is no comparison.
321 total yards combined by quarterback Jason Meichtry and running back Charlie O'Dwyer in Brookfield Central's 24-14 win at Oak Creek on Friday. Meichtry passed 165 yards and ran for 63, while O'Dwyer finished with 93 total yards (64 rush, 29 receiving).
