Elmbrook School District hosts kindergarten open houses

Kindergarten open houses will be held at Brookfield Elementary, Burleigh, Dixon, Swanson and Tonawanda elementary schools at 6:15 p.m. Jan. 31.

Families with children who will be 5 on or before Sept. 1 will be receiving a packet of information in mid-January with their school assignment, an invitation to the open house and registration materials. Any district resident who has a kindergarten-eligible child but does not receive a packet in the mail by mid-January is asked to contact their neighborhood elementary school or Elmbrook's Communications Department, (262) 783-2960.

Crisis prevention intervention meeting scheduled

The Elmbrook Special Education Advisory Board is hosting a discussion about crisis prevention intervention in the Elmbrook School District from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 12, at the Central Administrative Offices, 13780 Hope St.

Gifted & Talented Parent Advisory Board events on tap

The Gifted & Talented Parent Advisory Board is hosting an informational chat session from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Jan. 12. Elmbrook residents are invited to the discussion "From Houses to Blocks: The Transition from Middle School to High School Schedule," at the Central Administrative Offices, 13780 Hope St.

The group also invites residents to attend the Cool Stuff for Kids Opportunity Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 11 at the Marquette University Discovery Learning Complex.
