City of Brookfield

BURGLARY

1Assorted tools valued at $600 were taken from a garage in the 19200 block of Brookdale Drive before 2 p.m. Sept. 5. There were no signs of forced entry.

THEFT

2A portable media player was taken from a customer at Metro Market, 17630 W. Bluemound Road, about 11:51 p.m. Sept. 4. A tracking device attached to the player indicated it was near 20th Street and National Avenue in Milwaukee. Investigation continues.

3A 30-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for taking a stereo system at Sears, 115 S. Moorland Road, at 5:58 p.m. Sept. 5. The man also was cited for parking his vehicle in a space for people with a handicap.

4Four purses were taken at TJ Maxx, 12575 W. Capitol Drive, before 2:42 p.m. Sept. 7.

5An electronic reader and several GPS units were found in a boy's bedroom in the 1500 block of Spring Drive at 4:13 p.m. Sept. 7. While the boy is not suspected of taking the items, police are seeking another boy.

OTHER

6A woman living in the 1600 block of Lone Oak Lane reported placement of a dead raccoon in a plastic bag in her front yard. The woman believes the incident was intentional.

Police made one arrest related to a domestic incident last week.

Town of Brookfield

THEFT

7A 51-year-old Hartland man took a vehicle he had had repaired without paying the $95 bill at Advance Auto Parts, 18795 W. Bluemound Road, before 3:22 p.m. Aug. 18. When contacted by police, the man said he would return to the store and pay the bill.

8A sprinkling system was taken from a yard in the 20200 block of Linden Lane before 12:14 p.m. Aug. 31.

9Tires and rims were taken off two vehicles at Acura of Brookfield, 19180 W. Bluemound Road, before 10:38 a.m. Sept. 4. Loss is estimated at $4,440.

DRUG POSSESSION

10A 17-year-old Brookfield boy was arrested for possession of 1 gram of marijuana in the 19100 block of West Bluemound Road at 2:48 a.m. Sept. 1.

11A 21-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of 0.30 grams of marijuana in the 20300 block of West Bluemound Road at 5:36 p.m. Sept. 1.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

12A 46-year-old Sussex man was arrested for drunken driving near Bluemound Road and Jennifer Drive at 1:33 p.m. Sept. 4. His blood-alcohol content was 0.246.

13A 21-year-old New Berlin woman was arrested for drunken driving near Bluemound and Barker roads at 2:47 a.m. Sept. 5. A blood draw was taken to determine the woman's BAC. She also was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

VANDALISM

14Four tires were punctured on two vehicles in the 400 block of Kossow Road before 9:08 a.m. Sept. 2. Damage is estimated at $480.

OTHER

Police made one arrest related to a domestic incident last week.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

15A 28-year-old Mondovi man was arrested for drunken driving in the 14100 block of West Bluemound Road at 12:51 a.m. Sept. 3. His BAC was 0.10. The man also was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

16A 24-year-old Greenfield man was arrested for drunken driving in the 13400 block of Watertown Plank Road at 12:19 a.m. Sept. 9. His BAC was 0.12.

17A 44-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for drunken driving in the 12400 block of West Bluemound Road at 2:54 a.m. Sept. 9. His BAC was 0.21.

VANDALISM

18A vehicle's window was smashed in the 2000 block of Fairhaven Boulevard before 9:09 a.m. Sept. 3.
