THEFT

A business owner on Lincolnshire Court reported an ongoing problem with the theft of "Stand with Walker" signs from in front of his business. One was reportedly stolen over the weekend and another the week before.

1A man and woman were cited for retail theft after being seen by employees at Pick 'n Save, 12735 Capitol Drive, taking makeup without paying.

A 26-year-old woman was arrested for retail theft after Pick 'n Save employees reported seeing her put items from her cart into a car in the parking lot without paying.

2A case of beer was stolen from a garage in the 21300 block of Clearfield Court on Feb. 27. The theft was reported the next morning with the homeowner stating the beer was worth about $15. No suspects or witnesses were reported.

3A license plate was stolen from the back of a car in front of the car owner's home in the 17300 block of Winston Park Court. The theft was reported Feb. 28, but it's unknown when the theft took place.

4Two teenage boys and a 20-year-old girl were arrested for trying to steal liquor from the Metro Market, 17630 Bluemound Road, at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 29. The three were charged with retail theft and underage possession of alcohol.

5A woman in a white SUV drove away without paying for $55.17 worth of gas at the Corner Market, 15565 Bluemound Road, at 7:16 p.m. March 1. Video surveillance reportedly captured the theft, but the report did not include any follow up investigation.

6Police arrived at Kohl's Department Store, 2315 N. 124th St., around 6:40 p.m. March 2, after a woman reportedly left the store without paying for a sterling silver ring worth $30. She was cited for retail theft.

7Police responded to the AT&T store in Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road, after a 15-year-old girl was approached and detained by loss prevention personnel for an apparent theft at 2:16 p.m. March 3. The girl was cited, but no details of the incident were part of the report.

8A 25-year-old woman was arrested for retail theft after store employees at Pick 'n Save saw her try to leave without paying for merchandise of an unspecified value at 5:30 p.m. March 3.

9A 17 year-old was arrested at the Brookfield Square Sears, 95 N. Moorland Road, after refusing to give back items to store employees when approached about taking them. The theft occurred at 7:19 p.m. March 3. The girl was with her sister and mother, but according to the report, neither were involved.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

10A 35-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving after apparently passing out at the wheel, causing him to veer off the road and drive through the grass on the 16700 block of Greenfield Avenue at 1:34 a.m. March 1. The man was arrested and released to his wife without serious injury. His blood alcohol content was not available.

11A 20-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving near Greenfield Avenue and Moorland Road at 2:44 a.m. March 2. Her BAC was not in the report.

12A 25-year-old woman was arrested for drunken driving and failure to have control of her vehicle after an accident at 11:11 a.m. March 2 on Bluemound Road and Thomas Lane.

DRUG POSSESSION

13Police were called to Brookfield Central High School, 16900 Gebhardt Road, at 5:29 p.m. Feb. 28 and a 16-year-old was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. No more details were provided.

14A 15-year-old boy was arrested for drug possession at Brookfield Central High School at 10:26 a.m. March 2. The boy was found to have 1.5 grams of marijuana hidden in a secret compartment in his baseball cap.

OTHER

15A 19 year-old was arrested for a slew of crimes after trying to pass $100 bills at the Claire's in Brookfield Square, 95 N. Moorland Road. Police were called when an employee said a woman with her small child tried to use a fake bill. Mall security determined the woman had been previously banned from the mall. An off-duty officer assisted in stopping the woman as she attempted to exit the mall. She was charged with uttering, possession of a stolen credit card, possession of a theft detection remover and trespassing.

16A credit card stolen from Menomonee Falls was used to buy $100 worth of gas at Dennis' Mobile. A 58-year-old man caught on tape filling up with the card was questioned by police and he admitted the use of the card was possibly fraudulent. No charges have been filed, although the case remains under investigation.
