City of Brookfield

BURGLARY

1A $300 ring was taken from a Lake Road condominium between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Feb. 15. The home was ransacked after the thief forced entry through the rear patio doors.

THEFT

2A man was arrested for retail theft at Dunham's Sports, 17300 W. Bluemound Road, about 12:30 p.m. Feb. 15. He also is suspected of a theft from the nearby Open Pantry convenience store.

3A 22-year-old woman was arrested for disorderly conduct and retail theft after getting into a fight with employees at Pick 'n Save, 12735 W. Capitol Drive, about 1 p.m. Feb. 16. Store employees attempted to restrain the woman after she was caught stealing.

4Police searched for several people who attempted to steal from the H&M store at 95 N. Moorland Road, at 6 p.m. Feb. 18. A woman was arrested after police tracked her vehicle and she attempted to give a false ID. Several clothing items were recovered and returned.

ASSAULTS

An Oregon man called police Feb. 17 to report a sexual assault case from more than 40 years ago. The man said he had been assaulted by a family member when he was a teenager.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

5A 66-year-old man was cited for drunken driving near Capitol Drive and Brookfield Road about 6 p.m. Feb. 16, after a caller reported a vehicle driving too slowly, running into a ditch and crossing over several lanes of traffic.

ACCIDENTS

6A pickup truck and a Brookfield Academy school bus collided in the 3200 block of Brookfield Road about 8 a.m. Feb. 17. No children were aboard at the time.

VANDALISM

7A Cudahy man said two teens shot his windshield with a pellet gun while he drove near North Avenue and 124th Street about 4:30 p.m. Feb 18.

OTHER

8Police helped investigate a bomb threat at Brookfield East High School, 3305 N. Lilly Road, about 1:30 p.m. Feb. 14. A faculty member said a young man who sounded like he was crying issued the threat in a phone call. Officers checked the building and found nothing suspicious.

An elderly Brookfield man was a target of the "grandfather phone scam," according to police. The man said he received a phone call about 1 p.m. Feb. 15 from a man claiming to be his grandson in Georgia. The caller asked the man to wire $2,400 to settle a police matter. The man did not wire the money; rather, he called the police.

9A man attempted to use a forged prescription to get more than 350 oxycodone pills from Walgreen's, 15738 W. Capitol Drive, about 1 p.m. Feb. 16. Walgreen's staff contacted police, but the man promptly left the store.

10A 16-year-old girl was chased to her Arroyo Road home Feb. 17 when a male driving a gray sedan became enraged after a traffic error near Barker Road and North Avenue. The girl said the man screamed obscenities and, after following her home, got out of his vehicle and pounded on her windows.

THEFT

11An array of wedding decorations was taken from Panos Banquet Hall, 20290 W. Bluemound Road, between 10:40 p.m. Feb. 11 and 10:40 p.m. Feb. 12. The items, a total value $6,000, were reported missing by a Milwaukee-based wedding planner who had set up the décor for a wedding ceremony and reception. Missing were crystal cylinders, tear-drop candle holders and candle stands, platinum trees, artificial floral bouquets, glass mirror chargers, centerpieces, tea light candles, and pedestals.

DRUG POSSESSION

12A 52-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct and a 40-year-old man she was with was arrested for disorderly conduct when they were heard loudly arguing in and outside of their room at Motel 6, 20300 W. Bluemound Road, at 6:35 p.m. Feb. 16. Police discovered the marijuana inside one of the woman's boots.

13A 21-year-old Wauwatosa man was arrested for possession of 3 grams of marijuana and a glass pipe when he was stopped while driving with an expired license plate at Polar Creek Drive and Davidson Road at 11:48 p.m. Feb. 17.

Village of Elm Grove

THEFT

A 59-year-old man reported that his Social Security number had been used to buy $440.62 worth of items from a clothing store in Monroe at 3:25 p.m. Feb. 15. Police were attempting to track the purchase to an address in Alabama.

DRUG POSSESSION

14A 24-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for possession of 1.1 grams of marijuana after he was brought to the Elm Grove Police Department, 13600 Juneau Blvd., following a traffic stop at 12:31 a.m. Feb. 18. He had been pulled over because his vehicle's registration was suspended. He also was arrested on a Germantown Police Department warrant.
