THEFT

1A pizza press was taken from Bravo Cucina restaurant at Brookfield Square Mall, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 3:30 p.m. July 10. An employee had reportedly set it out back and had gone back inside to find someone to help him carry it to a storage space. When he came back out, the press, worth $1,200, was gone.

2Two 15-year-old girls were arrested for retail theft after they were caught by store employees trying to steal necklaces from Claire's, 95 N. Moorland Road, at around 5:20 p.m. July 10.

3A Brookfield man reported his car taken after Milwaukee police informed him that his car had been impounded following a hit-and-run accident involving an unauthorized driver. The man filed a report July 10, although the date of the accident involving the taken care was not in the report.

4Two snowblowers were reported taken from the 17000 block of Bluemound Road around 8 a.m. July 11. According to the report, the theft happened some time in the last month. The snowblowers had a value of $400.

5A 45-year-old woman was arrested for retail theft at Sears, 115 S. Moorland Road, just after 3 p.m. July 11.

6A banner was taken from the 19000 block of Capitol Drive on June 29 or 30 according to a report filed July 11. The banner cost $190.

7At least $100 worth of wire was taken from a building in the 12000 block of W. Bluemound Road sometime between July 3 and 5 according to a report filed July 12.

8As many as three people may have been involved with taking a list of items from JC Penny, 95 N. Moorland Road, around 2:15 p.m. July 12. Among the items taken were baby clothes, sneakers and underwear. A group of people were spotted by employees putting the items into a bag and leaving the store without paying.

9A 24-year-old woman was arrested for retail theft at Sears at 2:30 p.m. July 12. The woman was also wanted for failing to pay a citation in Brown Deer.

10A host of electronics were taken from a vehicle at Brookfield Square Mall, 95 N. Moorland Road, around 7:15 p.m. July 12. A window was smashed on the car and the stereo, along with a digital media player and CDs were taken from the vehicle.

11Three teens were arrested after employees found them attempting to steal from the Metro Market, 17630 W. Bluemound Road, just after 8 p.m. July 12. A 19-year-old man was arrested on state drug paraphernalia charges. A 17-year-old girl was arrested for state retail theft and drug paraphernalia while a 16-year-old girl was charged with underage drinking and municipal retail theft.

12A 58-year-old Dousman woman was arrested for retail theft at JC Penny just before 4 p.m. July 13.

13Three people were arrested after police were called to investigate a retail theft at JC Penny around 3:30 p.m. July 14. A 20-year-old woman was arrested for resisting/obstructing after refusing to offer her name to police while being questioned about the apparent theft. During that interview, a 20-year-old man become combative with officers and was also arrested for resisting. The man originally being suspected of committing the theft lied about his name, later being identified as a 32-year-old man. He was arrested on state charges of retail theft, disorderly conduct, obstructing and two outstanding felony warrants.

14A 17-year-old girl was arrested for retail theft at Kohl's, 2315 N. 124th Street, at 5 p.m. July 14.

15A man and woman are suspected of stealing more than $500 in video games from Toys R Us, 355 S. Moorland Road, around 8:20 p.m. July 14.

16A spare tire and hard cover were taken off the back of an SUV in the 12000 block of Capitol Drive. The report was taken July 15. Damages are estimated to be around $1,200.

17A 21-year-old man was arrested for retail theft at Burlington Coat Factory, 12575 W. Capitol Drive, around 3:30 p.m. July 15.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

A 24-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving on Lilly Road around 1:40 p.m. July 15. A preliminary breath test showed a blood alcohol content of 0.16.

THEFT

18A 31-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested at Ace Hardware, 15360 Watertown Plank Road, for stealing paint supplies just after 12:20 p.m. July 12.

OTHER

19A 28-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested after being stopped for lane deviation and a broken brake light on Moorland and Bluemound roads just before 6:30 p.m. July 12. A run of her license found more than $300 in outstanding bonds from Menomonee Falls.
