City of Brookfield

BURGLARY

1A floor safe containing an undisclosed amount of cash was taken from a backroom area at Sherwin-Williams, 18525 W. Bluemound Road, before 7:07 a.m. Aug. 23. Access was gained by prying open a door. Investigation continues.

THEFT

2A 32-year-old Waukesha man was arrested for taking merchandise valued at $218 from Sendik's, 18985 W. Capitol Drive, at 9:11 p.m. Aug. 20. After his arrest, the man confessed to a number of other thefts he performed at area retailers.

3A cellphone, phone charger and global positioning system were taken from a vehicle parked outside the Best Western Midway Hotel, 1005 S. Moorland Road, between 10 p.m. Aug. 20 and 1:43 a.m. Aug. 21. Access was gained by smashing a window.

4A 16-year-old Milwaukee girl was arrested for taking clothing valued at $360 from Victoria's Secret, 95 N. Moorland Road, at 12:32 p.m. Aug. 21.

5A laptop and portable media player were taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 1100 block of Crystal Drive before 9:27 p.m. Aug. 21.

6An aluminum sign valued at $700 was taken from an office complex in the 300 block of Bishops Way between 4:30 p.m. Aug. 22 and 6 a.m. Aug. 23.

7An 18-year-old Brookfield woman was arrested for taking an undisclosed amount of cash from Boston Store, 15875 W. Bluemound Road, at 7:13 p.m. Aug. 23. The woman was an employee at the time of the incident.

8A laptop, camera and $70 cash were taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of South Elm Grove Road before 9:51 a.m. Aug. 24.

9A bike was taken from behind a building in the 2200 block of North Calhoun Road about 3:05 p.m. Aug. 24.

10A wallet containing $50 cash and credit and identification cards was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 2600 block of Norman Drive before 5:42 p.m. Aug. 24.

11Two purses, belonging to employees, were taken from an office area at Angelina's Deli, 15655 W. North Ave., before 3:02 p.m. Aug. 25. Combined, the purses contained $290 cash and credit and identification cards. At least one of the victim's credit cards was used fraudulently.

DRUG POSSESSION

12An 18-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for possession of marijuana in the 15800 block of West Bluemound Road at 4:35 p.m. Aug. 22.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

13A 46-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving near Capital and Beaufort drives at 10:52 p.m. Aug. 22. A blood draw was taken to determine the woman's blood alcohol content.

14A 42-year-old Pewaukee woman was arrested for drunken driving, third offense, near Bluemound and Elm Grove roads at 9:21 p.m. Aug. 24. A blood draw was taken to determine her BAC.

VANDALISM

15About a dozen mailboxes were damaged in the 4600 block of Three Meadows Drive before 6:38 a.m. Aug. 23.

OTHER

16A 32-year-old Milwaukee woman was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia in the 12700 block of West Capitol Drive at 7:32 p.m. Aug. 21.

Town of Brookfield

THEFT

17Assorted vehicle parts valued at $7,798 were taken from Jack Safro Toyota, 20445 W. Capitol Drive, before 6:59 a.m. Aug. 18. Items included tires and rims. Two vehicles were resting on blocks.

VANDALISM

18A mailbox post was damaged in the 300 block of Parklawn Drive before 2:16 p.m. Aug. 17.

DRUNKEN DRIVING

19A 38-year-old Joliet, Ill., man was arrested for drunken driving near Bluemound Road and Executive Drive at 12:09 a.m. Aug. 21. The man refused to take a field test to determine his blood alcohol content, but a blood draw was later conducted.

OTHER

20Five men and women, ranging in age from 45 to 47, were cited for disorderly conduct at homes in the 12500 block of Wrayburn Road at 5:33 p.m. Aug. 21. The men and women argued about bug repellent being sprayed on bushes and trees. At times, the confrontation was heated, and profanities were expressed. Four of the men and women lived in Elm Grove. The other was a Milwaukee resident.
