Dr. Michelle A. Michel, professor, radiology and otolaryngology and chief, section of head and neck neuroradiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin, was named president-elect of the American Society of Head and Neck Radiology during the society's annual meeting in Miami. Michel lives in Brookfield.

An Army major from Brookfield has been chosen as the first officer in his career branch to work for Google for a year as part of the Army's Training with Industry program. Major Matthew Bisswurm is a plans and operations officer with the 903rd Contingency Contracting Battalion, a component of the 409th Contracting Support Brigade that supports U.S. Army Europe. Bisswurm began his internship with the Fortune 100 company in August and is expected to return to the Army's ranks following his Google tour armed with best practices and lessons learned that will enhance the service's operations.

Superior Support Resources of Brookfield has hired Chad Techtmann as the new director of business services. Techtmann will be responsible for providing customers with business systems support through integration and automation of internal and external IT offerings. He will focus on state business opportunities for SSR and consider what IT solutions might help customers reduce waste and increase productivity.
