Woman charged with felony in burglarizing Brookfield home

Oct. 28, 2013

A Watertown woman has been charged with a felony that could result in a fine of up to $25,000 and as much as 12 1/2 years in prison in connection to the burglary of a Brookfield home in May.

The Waukesha district attorney's office issued a warrant for her arrest Oct. 15.

Tyler C. Listle, 25, of Watertown, is believed to have broken into the house through a window to steal jewelry May 27, according to the criminal complaint.

The homeowner said she found a footprint below her window, which was missing its frame and screen.

Listle has not yet entered a plea, but according to police reports, Listle told her mom that she had stolen the jewelry.

When a police detective spoke with Listle's mother, she said Listle was currently shooting heroin, according to the complaint.

The homeowner said she was missing five rings with a total value of $1,850, as well as $300 to $500 in cash, and a silver bar valued at $23 that turned up at a Watertown pawn shop, according to the complaint. A court date has not yet been set.
