Floral business opens retail store in Stonewood Village
Some Kinda Wonderful has opened a retail store in the Wedding Center at Stonewood Village.
Owner Monica Murphy-Bredin has been in the floral business, specializing in weddings, for about 10 years. But in September, Murphy-Bredin opened a retail store to offer her customers flowers for everyday occasions.
On top of offering everyday flowers, she is also offering light sandwiches, soups, sweets, jewelry, holiday gift items and Stonecreek Coffee.
"I am really excited to be in this community," she said.
Murphy-Bredin said it's important that her customers get exactly what they want.
"Floral is personal," she said.
Murphy-Bredin said she spends time researching trends in the floral and bridal business.
"We are very up to speed on what's new," she said.
For those who wish to relax and enjoy a sandwich or cup of coffee, the floral shop will soon be offering Wi-Fi to its customers.
Ethan Allen to open its Brookfield design center
Ethan Allen plans to open its 15,900-square-foot Brookfield design center in late December in the Brookfield Square parking lot.
Ethan Allen design centers focus on making beautiful, comfortable living easy and attainable. The company offers one-stop interior design solutions.
At its design center in Brookfield, clients will find complementary design consulting services to take the guesswork out of decorating. Ethan Allen's professional design consultants can help clients create new looks for their homes, mixing various design styles to suit all needs and tastes.
The center will also have Ethan Allen's new contemporary look. This will be the fourth Ethan Allen Design Center in Wisconsin.
Health and Fitness center will hold grand opening in January
Axiom Health & Fitness has opened in the Stonewood Village.
Axiom has created a 5,000-square-foot training center, complete with state-of-the-art cardio and functional strength equipment, personal training memberships, a kitchen, men's and women's locker rooms, youth fitness room, massage therapy, and a lounging area with free Wi-Fi.
Luke Fichtner, a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and a University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee graduate with a degree in kinesiology, decided to open the center to better educate people on the importance of health and wellness.
The center's programs will help people who seek an increased fitness level, weight loss, reduced stress, rebuilt strength or increased energy level.
Fichtner said the center's approach allows people to lead a more balanced lifestyle.
Fichtner is also a certified youth fitness specialist through the International Youth Fitness Association.
Youth-oriented training includes fitness activities appropriate for developing bodies, and coaching habits and character that will create a foundation for a lifetime of mental and physical wellness.
Axiom Health & Fitness offers three types of personal training memberships with unlimited sessions. Rather than coming at a set time, clients can come at their convenience and join 50-minute sessions that start on the hour.
"I want people to know that I opened this facility with them in mind," Fichtner said. "It's a resource for the community; you don't have to be a member to receive the benefits that we offer. We want everyone to feel welcome."
The training center is temporarily open above Some Kinda Wonderful, and will hold a grand opening for its new facility, also in Stonewood Village, in mid-January.
Right now the center does not have set hours at its temporary location, but people can make appointments.
