Celebration of Literacy

Sept. 17, 2012

The Literacy Council of Greater Waukesha provides individual tutoring to adults and children who need to improve their basic skills. Recently, the organization held the Celebration of Literacy at Merrill Hills. Robert Black, president of the LCGW board of directors, welcomed those attending and introduced Debra Running, the executive director.

Acting as master of ceremonies was Jim Hahn, executive director of the Waukesha Chamber of Commerce. Several former students described how the agency had helped them gain the skills they needed.
