Ask NOW: What's being built in Rolling Meadows Park?

Feb. 17, 2012 | 1 comment

Is there a rumor you've heard you would like to track down? Is there something in the community that needs to get fixed? Mary Malahy answers some of the mysteries of life in the Elmbrook area.

What's being built in Rolling Meadows Park?

Issue: Construction equipment has been digging in Rolling Meadows Park, on the corner of Brookfield Road and Tamarack Drive, and a NOW reader wants to know what is going on.

Status: Bill Kolstad, city of Brookfield director of parks, recreation and forestry, said the city is putting in a trail to connect the two asphalt pathways already in the park. The project should be done within six to eight weeks.

The city also is building trails in Endicott Park and Lilly Heights Park.

  1. This does not answer the question. It's apparent the trail will run along the east side of Brookfield Road, but what is going on at the corner? There's more than just a trail there. Is it a rest stop?
