Dive into shallow end of pool leads to hospital visit
A 31-year-old Waukesha man was taken to the hospital for treatment last week after he dove into the shallow end of the swimming pool at a Brookfield hotel.
According to the city of Brookfield police report:
Police were called to Brookfield Suites, 1200 S. Moorland Road, about 9:15 p.m. Friday after employees reported an intoxicated man had jumped into the hotel's swimming pool and hit his head.
The man, who is on probation for his fifth drunken driving offense, was bleeding from his head when authorities arrived. He was taken to Elmbrook Memorial for treatment. A preliminary breath test recorded his blood-alcohol content at 0.18.
Brookfield police contacted the man's probation agent, but no probation hold was placed on him.
