Coffee shop robber may have hit Shorewood, West Allis
A robber made off with about $60 from a Brookfield coffee shop last week, and police said the man could be connected with similar incidents in West Allis and Shorewood.
According to city of Brookfield police reports:
The man entered Latte Café, 13780 W. Greenfield Ave., about 11:20 a.m. April 19 and told the cashier he wanted to purchase a muffin. When the cashier opened the cash register, the man reached over, grabbed the money and ran out the store's rear entrance.
The man got into a van that was waiting a few businesses away.
A similar incident occurred at a West Allis flower shop about half an hour later, and Shorewood police said the same thing happened there on April 18.
