With 100 percent of votes counted, Elmbrook voters have chosen incumbent Bob Ziegler and Glen Allgaier to full terms on the School Board and newcomer Kathryn Wilson to a one-year term.
According to Elmbrook deputy clerk Pat Felde, the complete but unofficial results for the at-large seats are as follows:
• Ziegler, the incumbent, led with 4,995 votes.
• Wilson got 3,405 votes.
• Beth Horneffer got 3,148 votes.
• Sandra Schultz got 2,588 votes.
In the Area II race:
• Allgaier, the incumbent, led with 5,605 votes.
• Ilse Frayer got 2,275 votes.
There was a 33 percent voter turnout in the city of Brookfield and an estimated 25 percent turnout in the village of Elm Grove. New Berlin reported a turnout of nearly 20 percent, though only a small portion of the municipality is part of Elmbrook. Turnout statistics were not available for the Town of Brookfield.
As the top at-large vote-getter, Ziegler wins re-election to a full three-year term in his seat. With the second-highest number of at-large votes, Wilson will serve the one-year remainder of the term recently vacated by former Brookfield mayoral candidate David Marcello.
School Board members are elected for three-year terms and earn an annual salary of $3,600.
