Elm Grove chooses Ziegler, Horneffer and Allgaier for School Board

April 6, 2010 | 0 comments

With 100 percent of votes counted in the village of Elm Grove, voters there have chosen Elmbrook School Board incumbents Bob Ziegler and Glen Allgaier to keep their seats.

After Ziegler, newcomer Beth Horneffer took the second-most votes for at-large seat.

In the at-large race, the top vote-getter lands a full three-year term while second place will serve the remaining year of David Marcello's term. Marcello resigned his seat to pursue the Brookfield mayoral race.

Just after 9 p.m., Elmbrook deputy clerk Pat Felde provided the following results for Elm Grove:

• Bob Ziegler, incumbent, led with 672 votes.

• Beth Horneffer got 472 votes.

• Kathryn Wilson got 288 votes.

• Sandra Schultz got 248 votes.

In the Area II seat:

• Glen Allgaier got 567 votes.

• Ilse Frayer got 352 votes

There was about a 25 percent voter turnout.

Remember, these totals are only for the village of Elm Grove and do not include the rest of Elmbrook - the town of Brookfield, city of New Berlin and village of Elm Grove. Results for those municipalities are expected to be in soon.

School Board members are elected for three-year terms and earn an annual salary of $3,600.
