Wilson's reasoned decisions a value to district

March 24, 2010 | 0 comments

Public Forum:

What amazes me about Kathryn Wilson is her ability to take in all the information before she gives an answer. I think in this way, she is able to form a better game plan. When forming a game plan, you need to determine the focus of the challenge, analyze the information provided and determine the best way to manage the plan using the resources available. Anyone that has had a lengthy discussion with Kathryn might acknowledge that this seems to be her thought process before she gives a decision.

I believe this is the basis of why Kathryn's opinions are sought out by many key individuals in this community. Her impressive list of supporters includes many of the committee members she serves with, educators and district leaders.

Kathryn Wilson is a vital parishioner serving on the Board of Ministries, Executive Board of United Methodist Women, Chair of Adult Ministries, Christian Education Committee and teaches youth and adults regularly at her church. She is my son's confirmation mentor and is interested in helping him learn the many aspects of how the church functions by taking him to committee board meetings.

Being a parent of students at Pilgrim Park Middle School and Brookfield East High School, I recognize the need for members of our community to take an active role supporting the district wherever able. I'm on the Elmbrook GT (Gifted and Talented) Parent Advisory Board, of which Kathryn currently serves as chair. Her skills in research have helped bring about the positive changes we've seen this past year.

I support Kathryn Wilson for the Elmbrook School Board because she will listen and effectively act in the best interest of this community.

If you are not able to vote on April 6, absentee ballots are now being accepted at Brookfield City Hall.
