Marcello will restrain spending, promote business

Jan. 15, 2010 | 0 comments

Public Forum:

We are writing this e-mail in support of David Marcello for mayor of Brookfield. We have known David and his family for some time, both as a neighbor and fellow parishioner at St. Dominic Church. David is an honest, hard-working individual that cares deeply about our city and its people. He is someone that never sits on the sidelines, but always looks for the solution to make our community a better place to live. Even through personal hardship and tragedy, David always had time to ask about your family and situation.

Brookfield is at a crossroads. We are very concerned that, even though Brookfield should be a conservative island in a sea of overspending at the state level, we see very little constraint at the city level to make sure our taxes and fees are reasonable to allow people to be able to afford to live here. We also believe Brookfield should be a haven for commercial development, but see it following the state lead in pushing businesses out as opposed to welcoming them.

It is for those concerns that we encourage our fellow Brookfield residents to support and vote for David. He will be a great mayor and make sure our city reflects our common values and communal goals.
