Students should all pay the same to park at school

Aug. 25, 2009 | 0 comments

Public Forum:

Regarding the article "Green Spaces, With Envy" in last week's NOW: Two hundred dollars is a lot of money for a working student to pay for parking. My grandson works nearly all summer to earn that money. Now, I read, if you can afford a "hot green hybrid," you park that car for free? I don't think so.

Fair is fair, and this is not fair or right. I find it offensive when people write about the Brookfield wealth, perks and snobbery; most of us are hard-working folks. Perks to high school kids like this add fuel to the fire. Wake up Brookfield high schools, all students are created equal. Pay the price for parking, one and all.
