Sullivan launches blog on NOW sites

June 2, 2009 | 0 comments

State Sen. Jim Sullivan, D-Wauwatosa, whose 5th District includes Elm Grove and portions of Brookfield, has just launched a blog on BrookfieldNOW.com and ElmGroveNOW.com, the Web sites of Brookfield-Elm Grove NOW.

Sullivan, elected to the Senate in 2006, said his blog - called "Live from District Five" - provides him with another way to interact with his constituents.

"I'll never stop going door to door, shaking hands and handing out newsletters ... but the ability to supplement those meetings with constant blog updates is invaluable because it will provide me with yet another way to hear from the people of the 5th Senate District," Sullivan said.

"I urge my constituents to read the blog as often as possible and post comments. Getting input from readers like you is one of the best ways to find out what problems I need to tackle on your behalf," he added.

NOW Newspapers Editor in Chief Mark Maley said Sullivan's blog is just another way the NOW sites enable residents to get connected to their community. For example, the Elmbrook Education Foundation and the Elmbrook Humane Society are among the community organizations that have blogs on the NOW sites.
